Dr Mark Magnusson has been a fully qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon since 2000. Current President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (2016-2018). He works at the Allure Cosmetic Clinic, his private practice in Toowoomba and at the Esteem Medi Spa in Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Special interests include all forms of breast surgery, body-contouring, medical education and facial anatomy. As the past Chairman of Education for ASAPS (2013-2016) Dr Magnusson has convened several Australasian Plastic Surgery and Non-Surgical Rejuvenation Conferences. He is an anatomy tutor on Bryan Mendelson’s MAFAC (Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course) and convenes an Anatomy & Injecting Workshop specific to non-surgical facial rejuvenation for the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
Research interests presently include breast implant safety and reliable outcomes, Breast Implant Associated-Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, Breast Device Registries, the anatomical changes of facial ageing and body contouring.

- Facial rejuvenation
- Skin cancer excision and reconstruction
Allure Clinic includes a boutique Non-Surgical Practice incorporating fillers, neurotoxins, non-invasive body contouring, laser/light devices, RF, skin care and beauty therapy. The Esteem Medi Spa has a comprehensive nonsurgical practice including the Esteem Institute of Cosmetic Aesthetics for the training of cosmetic nurse injectors.
Dr Magnusson is the current President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (2016-2018).
Dr Magnusson is a member of the Editorial Board for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ), Aesthetic Section Editor for the new Australasian Journal of Plastic Surgery (AJPS), a reviewer for the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (JPRAS) and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal Global Open (PRS GO).
